The Gang showing their passes, (the latest publicity shot). Di Pettifer is missing and at last we have a photo of Rennie Buxton, she is 4th from the right. The rest you know by now.

The last stage of our 'Epic Journey'

At last we are at the last stages of arranging our ‘Epic Journey’ as one of our publicity pieces put it. We had our last meeting and was given all the relevant information. We discovered that the timing to London from Oxford was tight, so we will have to leave Church on Sunday morning earlier than we thought. Hopefully we will be in London to catch the 2.30pm coach to Canterbury.
We are being met at the Cathedral where we will attend Evensong before catching the local bus to Whitstable where we are staying for the 1st night. Why Whistable you may ask? This is because Rev Rachel Webbley, who has a parish in Whistable, was our curate some time ago and she is willing to help us by supplying the accommodation in her parish for us.

Day 1. Leave Whistable at 08.45 and by using 9 buses, will hopefully arrive in St. Albans at the latest 18.25. More information will be posted on the daily blog, so look out for it!
Day 2. After our previous hectic day, this day is more relaxed. We will spend some time in the morning taking a look at the Abbey with a tour guide. We leave St. Albans at 14.45 and by using only 2 buses this time, via Luton, will arrive at Bedford at 16.58. Again the local parish will be accommodating us.
Day 3. A late morning departure at 11.30 from Bedford, this time using 4 buses via Northampton, Leicester and Loughborough will arrive at Nottingham at 16.10.
Our hosts are having their Parish Supper in the evening and have invited us to go with them. It is being held at the local Catering College, so we are expecting some great food.
Day 4. We leave Nottingham at 10.00am and by 4 buses via Old Ollerton, Worksop, Doncaster and Selby, will arrive finally at York at the latest 16.17. Where we are being met by the Precenter of York Minster and attend the daily Evensong.
2 lady hosts are arranging an evening meal for us, together with our hosts, so this will be a great finish to the journey.

So, everything is in place and all we have to do now is, DO IT.

Please support our efforts by looking at our daily blog, reading the latest publicity, and most of all pray for us as we attempt to raise £3000 for St. Edburg’s Church reordering fund. The ‘just giving’ site gives the update of how much we have raised so far, and you can find it on the St.Edburg’s Church web site www.stedburg'schurch.org as well as on this blog. so with your help we will achieve our goal.
